Counter Strike Source and Windows 7057

Hi Guys,

I love windows 7, just finished downloading build 7077 but there is one thing that is keeping me on XP right now. When I load up steam and start CSS, it loads perfect, but when I want to check my email or answer an MSN conversation I ALT+TAB out of CSS and onto my desktop. In XP I can continiously do this back and fourth, on 7 its the opposite. Once I ALT+TAB out of CSS, I can't get back in. It says the game is running but I can't get into it. I tried Windows+TAB and ALT+TAB, both show the game running but they won't load it, it just stays at the desktop home screen. Help!

I can do that in 7077 also in 7068 no problems

Are you running the 64 bit version of 7? That could be one of the reasons too

I do exactly that all the time running CSS ,and im on 7077 64bit ??
It works fine for me.

I have the exact same problem on build 7000 32-bit. On the window preview it just shows up as a black square.

Try either running it in a window or just shift+tab and use there ingame browser

Mine sometimes crashes not much though

Well, I should have clarified that I switch out to turn on my microphone, as I don't always have it/want to use it and there is a built-in mic.

I have had this same issue with Call of Duty World at War. Both 7000 and 7068 do this. Game works fine, but you alt-tab/Windows button to the desktop and it goes to the desktop. Totally normal. Then you try to get back in the game and it's just a black screen. That's it. Task Manager will show the game is still running, but you have to force quit it to re-open it again. This might be a bug with this specific game though.
