Hello,

I have read through all of the other ping problem threads but none of them have quite the same problem as me.

Since updating to Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit i have had ping problems with Counter-Strike: Source. My problem is when i go in-game i get lag and ping spikes from 10 to 50ms. The game is playable, but it is not running smooth. While pinging in command prompt i can see the spikes and if i tab out to check it my ping goes back to normal. The ping isn't high but the game feels laggy and all commands are delayed.

Every other game (CS 1.6, Quakelive, Cod4) works fine. I have tried to solve it for a while now, but none of the threads have been able to help me.

I have tried installing Windows XP and the game works fine there. There is nothing wrong with my ISP as my roommate has no problems playing CSS on the same W7.

I know i can just use Windows XP for games but i'd rather use Windows 7 for everything. If there is no solution i guess i have to get used to dual boot.

PS. I have pretty much tried everything i can think of to fix this, so please don't say re-install the game :p

Yep, that was pretty much the first thing i tried. I've seen people saying it fixed their problem but it did nothing for me.
