Ok this this thread has been made probably a few times, but There Solutions did not help.

My problem is that, When i click on a server, it loads fine but when i get to the screen with the MOTD and such IT just FREEZES and i have to ctrl alt delete and ya, u know the whole routine, It does it EVERYTIME, once in a blue moon it will work, but i just dont know what to do anymore. From reading other Posts, The said it was IDM or IEmonitor.exe that was screwing with it. I dont have Internet Download manager nor do i have something called IEmonitor.exe in my processes. I dont know what the problem is. Anyone help?

What build of Windows 7? It might be a specific build issue.

I'm currently on Windows 7 x64 Build 7100, and it worked fine for me. Have you tried more than one server?

Make sure your Internet Explorer is not set to work offline because CSS uses IE engine to load HTML-based MOTD. Also make sure your firewall/ antivirus suite is not blocking the game or browser functions.

Counter Strike Source Freeze

Hi.

I have a problem with css. Basicly, i can't even start the game because it freezes right after i start it. And only way to get out of this is to force my pc to reboot. I have no clue what could be the problem.

Specs:
Intel core2 duo 4400
Ati radeon 4850HD
2gb ram

and so on,

and im running x64.

hmm, i got it fixed somehow. had the problem with all games which used hl2.exe. Eventually i changed directx version with command -dxlevel 81 and changed the startup for -window. Then i just switched that options back to normal and it worked perfectly.
