1.Is there is any point of user name and password(maybe security reasons)if the wifi router is connected to my pc and I'm the one one who uses it(it's good to have a password for the network but what about the password for configuring the router).
And if it's good to have a password,is there is some way to automatically connect without typing it(some command line\shortcut with something in it)

The router is TP-Link
Model No. TL-WR740N / TL-WR740ND

2.My setup is like this...my pc connected to the router through lan card and another pc using wireless adapter. The question is,can I make a connection between both pcs(WinXP SP3 x86 and Win7 Ultimate SP1 x64)

3.Is there is a way to remove the wireless adapter from the "safety remove hardware" list(on WinXP...that's where the adapter is)

My experience with WinXP and W7: even though I shared folders and files on both computers, even with hard-wire connection, W7 could see and work with XP folders and files [copy, move, delete, etc], WXP rarely "saw" W7 folders & files, never was able to copy, move, delete, etc anything on W7 computer. Wireless? after some attempt, I gave up on wireless between W7 & WXP. There are probably some work-arounds, I simply did not know what they were/are.

I'm trying to figure your question set about wifi router username/password. I'm using AT&T's Netgear 7550, modem/router/wifi combination, and I only have to enter the hard-set password if I'm going into the Wifi configuration box. My only beginning logon is password for Win7Pro OS. Tell me more :)
