CPU and fam replaces, computer still crashes

Hi everyone,

I had an older thread advising that my computer was crashing randomly, about thirty minutes into operation. I bought a replacement CPU, brand new fan and installed it. Today I turn it on for the first time in over a week and after one hour of operation, it crashed once again.

I left it on for over two hours just in case but it was crashed. The CD drive still worked, just nothing else.

There are many reasons to a computer to crash.
- Failing MoBo
- Failing HDD
- CPU temperature due to dust on heat sink.
- PSU

The cpu and heat sink are new. Exit step is to replace the MoBo. Any advice on how to change that? I have a Amd x2 athlon.

Who has replaced the CPU and heat sink?
Good thermal paste was applied correctly?

CPU, Memories and MoBos aren't interchangeable. They have to be same "family".

You must give us all your hardware specs.

I did it myself. I applied a pea size amount in the middle and pressed down. I BOught the same heat sink and same CPU online...

Would system information have the info you need..?
