CPU fan spins up during sleep...

Hi!

Like the title suggests, my CPU fan goes into overdrive once W7 puts the computer in sleep mode. When I hit a key to bring the computer back, the fan spins down again. Anyone else who experienced this? Does this suggest that something is taxing the CPU when the computer goes into sleep (which seems quite contradictory), or could it just be that windows is telling the hardware to spin up the fan for no reason.

cheers /Tobias

I use the Sleep function at least several times a day and have never had that happen. The only problem i sometimes had was waking the machine, so i went into Bios and set it to wake with a double mouse click .

I have the same problem, did you experience the same problem if using Visat or XP ???

Can you uninstall windows 7 and install vista just to make sure the problem is OS independed?

I haven't had time but I think it might get fixes if you update your Bios and motherboard chipset ROM.

let me know if you get if fix and how did you fix it?
