CPU Meter Gadget for Dual Xeons

I have seen many Quad core meters, but I don't believe these show the second processor??? Is their any CPU meters that work with two processors (5520 chip set) ?

I have seen some CPU meters that let you toggle to expand the cores or hide the cores. With 8 cores (16 HT) it could get pretty busy.

I attached a meter running on a Dual core. Something like this but rather then each core....each CPU.

Neat gadget but....

It is designed to run on single core, dual, or quad core. Not Dual processors.

Quad Core Xeons

There would be a total of 8 cores or four on each processor. I am not necessarily interested in seeing all 8 cores, but rather each combined processor.

I can get you a setup to see 8 cores but not utilization of each whole CPU seperately. I don't think windows does that, if you can't do it in the built in performance monitor then it most likely can't be monitored. If you bring up performance monitor you will see options like this once you select the processor meter:

I checked on my i7 (4 cores, 2 threads each) and I checked on a dual 4 core xeon system and they both showed the same thing. You can get the single core speed and the total system but that's it.

Good to here....

We ordered two new Workstations. One with dual 5520 Xeons, the other with a single 5550 Xeon. Final got one of Intel SSD for the boot drive. Setup up the dual xeon box today. These things really scream with Win7x64. I will end up with the single processor box. If the SSD arrives tomorrow, it will get setup. I ran the AddGadget.com - All CPU Meter and it shows 8 cores on the dual xeon. I am just not sure if they are multi-threaded cores from one processor or truly the 8 cores. When I get the single processor setup, I will know.

I will report my finds the lest you know.

FYI for those still looking for All CPU Meter in 2010, Addgadget.com upgraded their ALL CPU meter to version 2.2 - which accommodates up to 16 cores/threads for dual Xeons; 12 cores/threads for the hexacore i7-980x; 8 cores/threads for the i7 quads; 4 cores for the old quads and so on......

Also, the ver 2.2 has options for colors and sizes: 1x, 1.5x, and 2x.
