Hi ALL

Is anyone familiar with this Dell model
(Xps 625 amd phenom x3 8750 black edition 2.4gig X3)
If so, could I upgrade the processor, the Ram and my windows 7 32 bit software to 64bit?
So far I have been unable to upgrade from 32bit to 64bit because it says the cd/dvd drive is missing drivers, but is this the problem?

Your XPS 625 supports X64 as it is. There are Win7 X64 drivers for it at support.dell.com. More RAM might be good, but it's unnecessary.

What is the source of your Win7 X64 installation DVD? If the installer complains about CD drivers, one of the possible causes is a defective DVD (due to a bad burn from an .iso).

Taking what you say literally, you can't upgrade from a 32 bit OS to a 64 bit one. You can use a 32 bit OS to qualify a Win7 X64 upgrade license, but the actual installation requires booting from the DVD and doing a custom (clean) install.
