CPU running at 100% on LG F1

Ok, thanks anyway.
I know the laptop supports it, when the laptop was new it had Win XP installed - and then it worked perfectly. If the OS could be the problem - maybe i'll try upgrade to Win8.

Oh, ack, sorry I forgot about that earlier.

Hmmm, well one problem with updating the OS on a laptop is that you may not be able to get all the hardware working due to custom drivers that were supplied for the original OS only. USUALLY things like custom buttons or lights on the KB are the main things that you lose, though it could be anything. It in fact may be that you are simply missing a custom MB driver to enable that functionality.

You can try looking on the website for drivers for the laptop and see if there are any Win7 updates but that is like a 1 in a million chance :) You could also try installing the XP motherboard drivers for that laptop in Windows 7, that is usually a very BAD idea, but it /may/ work. I would only do that if you feel like you want to completely reinstall windows if it gets broken by it though :)
