Non-overclocked

I've had my system for 2 years now, and only recently did this problem start. I use Realtemp to show my CPU temperature at all times. On average, my idle temp is between 25-35C (depending on ambient temperature). On heavy loads it goes to maybe 60C

Every night, I put my computer to sleep (I almost never shut it down before going to bed). Recently, when I resume it the next day, I see the CPU temperature steadily climbing. Going past 50, 55, 60, 65, at which point I immediately shut down my system. (power off)

After turning on my PC again, everything is fine, and my temperature is where it should be.

What is weird is that, this temperature rise only happens on occasional wake-ups. Most of the time, it resumes from sleep and behaves normally just fine.

Any ideas?

Sounds like something is using the CPU @ 100% upon waking

Have you checked task manager for any service etc that would be running the system wide open.

Let it go and see where it maxes out. (No need to panic until the mid-high 80's) It'll also give you extra time to check for something hogging the CPU.

Is the water pump functioning correctly? Have you got an airlock in the cooling system? Does the radiator fan work? Is it time to flush the system out and refill?

I do suspect there is a problem with the pump at this point. Since it is a tightly integrated system, I cannot flush and refill the sytem. I'm taking the side panel off and keeping an eye on the fan.

I may need to replace the it...
