Warm ambient, laptop = not all that surprising.

Make sure the exhaust vent isn't blocked. Alternatively you can buy a cooling pad.

That looks perfectly fine to me with your current ambient temperature....

Here's a capture from my laptop thats currently running Handbrake video encoding software with a game in the background minimized...

Capture3.PNG

It's toasty because i've set the processor to run dual IDA using Throttlestop

Thats a bit warmer than i'd like for the Intel Burn Test... but since you're not having an external cooling it's quite normal I guess...

Laptops should be aiming for high 70s for the IBT... you should get a cooling pad if you intend to stress the laptop out...

No problem, it's just that laptops are generally not built to be under heavy loads 100% of the time like desktops, I was just offering some advice to help prolong your laptop's life

It's an innate design flaw in most laptops, except for gaming laptops

IBT is the heaviest software you can use in terms of CPU load, and if your laptop can handle it and remain stable, it passes the test!

You've got the ac blowing right onto the laptop? I'd reckon about 70 - 80 C would be normal with IBT...

Remember, the laptop is handicapped by its poor ventilation and design for dissipating heat...

EDIT:- IBT is an outlier when it comes to temperatures, no other program will ever raise your temperatures as high as IBT will..

You didn't run at that temperature for long right?

Temporary high temperatures are fine, but it's the prolonged stress on the system at high temperatures that will damage your components...

Normal temperature when running games?

high 60 - 70 C

Watching movies?

50 - 60 C

Or Idling?

The temperatures you posted in your earlier screenshot that was in the 50s are normal....

Remember, your ambient temperatures will greatly influence your results.
