Hey you guys,

I ran a Full Virus and Mal ware scan last night and cleaned up my pc. However, this did not help my problem at all. I still have 100% CPU usage at idle. Here is a picture while I was only running Firefox and MSN. I have never had this much usage while just running these small things. I can function sorta fine, but I do not want to see that 100% in my task manager

Specs:
32-bit Win 7
AMD Athlon 2.4 Ghz
1.5 GB of RAM

Thanks :D

Hi Nitraxx. In Task Manager please click on Show process from all users. From what you show, yes it appears at 100% but we cannot see which process is taking all the cycles. Also, if you click on the CPU Column it will rank usage from top to bottom in usage.

Is this only during "idle" time? If so, try turning indexing off and see what happens.

What is "BBJj6t7bt.exe" process? That seems very bizarre.

Well in the detail you show, it does add up to 100%. I agree with what Logicearth observed. That BBJ.... process looks very strange and is consumming 25% of your cpu. Just out of curiousity, highlight that process and click on End Process. If your systems now runs more normal, you must now identify that process and if it is not necessary, stop it from loading. Let us know.

I think that its a virus/malware but I ran a scan because of it but nothing was found about it...
I hit end process and it went down to about 83%
but the thing is, it comes back... it doesn't go away

Also I have changed ms config to load the very basic and unselected that process from running but it just over powers it and loads.. I can't seem to stop it

At this stage, I would recommend that you download & install MALWAREBYTES. Once installed and opened, go to the update tab and get the latest tables. Then go to the scan tab and choose Full Scan.
Let us know what if anything it finds.

Hello,
You also have w32.exe running which is malicious.

See here - w32 - w32.exe - Program Information
And- w32.exe

I'd advise you run a scan with MBAM
Please download and run this tool.

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Full Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts.
Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process.
If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

So far so good. Just out of curiosity, could you post the Malwarebytes log when complete.

Im sorry this is off topic but is it normal when system idle is using 98% cpu?

That just means that the CPU is 98% idle. Nothing taking up CPU cycles at the moment.
