Solved CPU usage dropdowns during stress test
Hi guys, during stress tests I have noticed strange usage dropdowns on CPU usage (which should not happen on a stress test I believe?)
It happens multiple times over several hours, no signs of overheating, GPU/mobo/CPU always below 60°.
Tried on a lower memory frequency (stock 2400) instead of the current 3200.
I have a Ryzen 5 2600 running @ stock speed
Aida64 was used for testing.
Here's a screenshot:
As you can see on the notifcation area & task bar, there are no background apps or whatsoever. (other than the screenshot app, which I started using after noticing those dropdowns)
Also, is there a way to transfer my account to Tenforums or do we create a new account? Apologies for posting here, if this disturbs anyone.

You have to create a new account on Ten Forums.
Try another stress program like

Yes you just create a new account on tenforums. i.e., there is no mechanism to transfer an account from one forum to the other.
You can double check your findings on another test program, like Prime95.
I do not use Aida64. However I found there is an Aida64 Discussion Forum, and this post which might help you diagnose this issue:

Ran prime95 with 15gb memory usage for 2 hours, cpu usage was steady at 100%. Is it possible that the dropdowns only occur when stress testing CPU, GPU & RAM at the same time? Should I keep digging or there's nothing to worry about?

Isn't that post about spiking clock settings? Mine seem to be fine +- 200 mhz differences at 100% usage.
There was one post on Aida64's forum that seemed nearly identical to my issue and it had a suggestion to apply stock clock settings on CPU, which I already have. On top of that I tried regular 2400 settings on my ram which did not help.

My only other suggestion would be to try RMClock Utility. This software is said to detect any kind of CPU clock throttling.
