Crash on Shutdown

I was shutting down my computer, the regular loading screens appeared until it reached the Shutting Down screen. Suddenly the screen got ripped into several strips and then restarted. I didn't see any BSOD or something, it just went black and restarted.

I searched through the forums but I wasn't able to find other posts that were similar to my problem so I posted this. I checked the minidump and there were files having time and dates that matched during the shutdown.

The crash happened twice already, last night and just today.

That's all, thanks in advance. Hope you could help me. I'm already having doubts in shutting down this computer again because of the crash

I checked it just now, but my restore points were empty, I'm kind of confused because normally it would create restore points if I install new softwares.

BTW: thanks for the quick reply.

these were caused by memory corruption. I would download memtestx86 and run it for at least 5 passes.

Let us know if you need help

I tried it but the window closes really fast. I can't even see what's written on it.

Sorry I'm just new, can u teach me how to use memtest86?

I just downloaded it and its an ISO file, should i burn it on a disc?

BTW: Restarting the computer doesn't cause crashes, is it different from shutting it down?

Sorry for the very late reply. I found out now why it crashes. My RAM's are still okay, the Memory it was referring to was the Video Memory.

Thanks for helping and teaching me Ken...:)
