I have a laptop, an HP-Mini 210-1084NR.
I have a plan set to send the computer into hibernation when the lid is closed, and it works fine.
However, if I turn on the computer and leave the lid shut, windows freezes. The computer still runs, doesn't go into hibernation, and I can't turn off wireless/none of the buttons work.
However, I can still access the computer's disk via my homegroup from another computer, but the laptop is physically unresponsive to anything except a hard shutdown by holding the power button for five seconds.
When I reboot the laptop, I get the option telling me windows has failed to start and to run the startup repair.. I did so, and did the system restore it told me to do. But I still have the same problem.
However, if I log into windows, then close the lid, it will go into hibernation. Then, if I turn it back on it'll stay on until I log back in..
