Just recently been getting a crash when the display will go black and not respond again an i have to manually turn off an on the computer or (very rarely) it will reboot. If i have music or any sound being played through the speakers at the time, the sound gets all distorted and turns into static.

I have reformated and i still get the problem so i dont think it is sofware, i have also ran hardware checks and all the main components seem fine =\

i can turn it on first thing in the morning and it will run good for a few hours then crash, also i can leave it on stand by almost all day with no problem then wake it an it only takes a few minutes of browsing the net for it to crash and after that it will crash within 30min of reboot.
I think it may be a overheating problem but am not entirey sure, any advise or suggestions would be appreciated. i have atached the minidump folder, health report and nt6 folder in zip.
thanks

Is does kinda sound heat related but is this not a fairly new laptop ? - if so, I would not suspect fan/ dust issues to be the problem. Is it still under warranty, if yes, I'd be getting it back to the store.

no not under any warranty, i got it bac at start of 2010. Is there a way to look at the temps of the hardware componets and monitor them, also has anyone had a chance to look at the minidump attachment yet?

It looks like your system hasn't been updated since 2010.

You're way behind on Windows updates. The dumps indicate a video driver fault (nvlddmkm.sys) and a desktop window fault (dwm.exe). Both most likely due to old drivers and lack of updates.

Turn on the Windows update service and check your PC's mfg website for driver updates.

Hmmmmm. That's interesting. Just noticed your specs say ATI Radeon but you're running Nvidia drivers. Whut up wit dat?
