Hi
Has anyone else experianced this problem of crashing when they are converting avi files to dvd? im using win avi converter version 8 and the latest convertX to dvd progam which i have just updated.

still getting to grips with windows 7 its the beta version im using i have to say i like it and everything else has been fine its just that sometimes i get these crashes when converting films? it only seems to happen on the 2nd or 3rd film the first one always converts and burns fine?

Yes this is strange its a fresh install ive only installed a couple of apps and convertx to dvd was fine on xp, i was just wondering if anyone else had expeiranced anything like this with dvd or xvid codecs etc, its unusual in the sense that i can convert one film fine but when i try to do another it crashes halfway through?

i can leave it on all day browsing and downloading stuff etc etc and dont have a problem its only when i try to convert films?

Try this one

AVS Video Converter - a universal AVI to MPEG Converter, AVI to DVD Converter.

I'm just trying it myself.
I can't see anything about PAY for this on the site so I'll give it a whirl.

It says FREE DOWNLOAD -- but whether that means you can just download the product before some nagware appears asking you to "register witin x days" " or upgrade to a "pro version".

It does popup with "unregistered version" but seems to work OK without wanting "Money". Doesn't say will expire either.

cheers
