Solved Create And Install Win7 From USB Drive

Hello, I just purchased a HTPC that has no DVD drive and came installed with Ubuntu OS and I want to install Windows 7 as the OS. I purchased Windows 7 but its DVD's so I need to somehow make a ISO from the DVD and then make a bootable USB Drive. Anyone have any experience doing this? Thanks!

That is a very complicated way to do it. This is what I do and it's easy.

You can create a bootable USB Flash drive (4GB or larger) to install Windows 7 from.

1. Download and run Universal USB Installer Easy as 1 2 3
2. Select Windows 7 from the first drop down list, all the way to the bottom
3. Select the Windows 7 iso file
4. Select your USB flash drive
5. Click Create

In 10-15 minutes you have a flash drive you can use to install Windows 7 from.

And just use your new Windows 7 dvd to make the iso from.
