I am trying to make a system image with a machine that is running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit to DVD.

It lets me get to 3 or 4 disk and comes up with this.

Create System Image
The back up failed
There is not enough space on the disk
(0x80070070)

There is not much on the drive except Office 07 Ultimate, Nero, Photoshop 7, Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash...Just your basic stuff really...Microsoft Security Essentials.

It says that 431GB of 465GB on a Western Digital Black drive. There is maybe 1GB of data. So I am not really understanding why 34GB is being used.

AMD 64x2 3800 Dual Core, 500gb WD Black, 4gb Kingston Value Ram, LiteOn DVD/CD RW, 450watt Corsair power supply, Mitsumi floppy drive.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are a lot of reports historically of difficulty imaging to DVD or restoring from DVD.

The consensus seems to be to avoid it if at all possible and use an external or internal hard drive.
