Solved Creating an Event Log

I have a custom application that needs its own event log. "My App" for example. The application cannot create the event log, so I need to create it so that it will work.

In the computer manager window, I do not see an option any more for creating event logs. What do I do?

this has my solution.

installutil.exe installing windows service

Basically, need to run the script with the "as administrator" option. I could only make it work from File Explorer. I couldn't figure out command line runas for W7.
