Hey Guys,

I recently upgrated my computer from XP to Win7. It is actually working fine but i do have one problem.

I am part of a home network and i want to connect to my dad's pc. His pc is running on XP. I'm able to ping him but when i connect it logically asks me for the right credentials. I fill in the right username and password and than it tells me that the credentials are not right.

Everybody in our house is part of the same workgroup and we don't have a DOMAIN.

I attached 2 pictures showing what i mean.

Thanks, Oliv3r

The quickest way would be for you to choose the option to "Use another account" and then enter
your dad's machine name followed by a backslash and a user account name on your dad's machine and then the password for that account on your dad's machine..the format is machinename\username
password for that account

another way is to create your account "rossum" on your dad's machine with the same password you use on your machine. Hope this helps
