Crysis 2 ... anybody got it yet?

MP is pretty good once you get around the log in bullshit....found a workaround last night that worked for me....hard to find a game tho....and a lot of ppl on there are already lv 20...so some ppl got on early before it all went bust...I like the SP game tho..playing in normal first run but will definetly be replaying in whatever the hard modes is once I complete it.
Graphics are pretty good for DX9...should be stunning if and when we get this DX 11 patch.
Only problem still remaining for me is the bonus content..haven't been able to get it no matter what I try...
other than that issue the game is good...

And yeah, from what I've seen the graphics look pretty darn good for a DX9 game!

Perhaps by the time you're done with the Normal Level, the patch is out for DX11 and then you can do hardcore? ... doubt it

Anyways, I wanted to ask, how bad are the creatures? One of the things I dislike about the game were the creatures, hated them in Far Cry, Crysis and Warhead... not that it deterred me from playing it though but I am just saying, I could have had a lot more fun w/o them... they scared me half to death on certain spots

I played the multiplayer Demo for PC it ran very well on my system with settings at high and my gpu is not that great is only a gt 320.

You might be able to run the game with the gt 220 card but would probably have to set the video settings low not sure... who knows it might be fine min card is the 8800gt.

As far as not being able to wander around as much... I liked wandering around some in the first crysis... I also like the single player mode the best to start with till I know game some then go multiplayer...


I will likely get the full game release next Thursday when I get payed.

Creatures..havent seen too many yet..you have a sight thing called nano vision (heat vision) you can use when they stealth?
So far no frights...shotgun kills em dead..3 shots or so at close range..I got no idea how far I'm into the SP so it may get a little more tense further in...you need the aliens tho cos you get material from each corpse you then use to boost the suit...more armor e.g.

The DX 11 patch isn't out yet..I think they would be too busy trying to sort out the login issues..key issues..redeem code issues...dunno why that's taking so long...Blizzard sure a shit would'nt hire them.

I am taking my time and I am probably 5 hours into the SP. I ran into a couple of sections that were a pain in the ass and had to do them multiple times because I kept dying over and over.
I still can't log into the game for some reason.

Yer its super brilliant, played almost to ending i think, Not as open as crysis, but not a corridor shooter either, somthing inbetween, use ur suit, and u will have lots of tactical possiblilities,
Not as Surprisingly OvertheTop Graphics as crysis, but it will probaly help when they implement DX11 in a patch one day, (why da hell, it shipped witout DX11 support, ive no ideer, its just stupid)
Gameplay is still uber nice though, same as crysis almost,
Smooth movement/Aiming, not shitty "realistic" as BFBC2 - hate the restrictions they implement in that game,..
Overall u will be greatly entertained, if u liked crysis,

So I am watching a friend play it (I'm still on this side of the fence waiting for the alleged big patch... that's code for "I'm a Cheap Bastid" ), the music tells me that something's about to happen (firefight or big scene), when I hear something like "Tactical Options Available" then a text on the screen follows "< Recommend Tac Assesment >" and my friend looks at me dumbfounded, like asking me... OK, now what... what key am I supposed to press or how do I proceed from here? To which I tell him... what the hell do I know, I'm just a passenger here! :shock:

So, do any of you guys know what key is he supposed to press?

Also, I remember something now that I used to do in Crysis... I remember double tapping some keys and some of the nano suits powers will come alive. Something like tapping C for crouching but Double tapping C would give me Cloak mode... or tapping Space to Jump but double tapping Space would give the Super Jump Powers, etc, etc, etc... does this also work in this game?

Something that detracts me a little bit about this game now (consolize if you will) is the fact that you can now buy your powers, or have to gain points to do so,etc... it sure shows that they are catering to the kids/youngins... I'll still will play and enjoy the game, I am sure... just saying

Ive only tried the free demo version uninstalled it yesterday got to be said its the best fps game i have ever played hands down except BFBC2, Graphics are just amazing i was busting this game on hardcore with a 6950 ati 2gb with not one lag i loved the experience of the game and yes i am definatley gunna get the final version if anyones worried about how great there graphics has to be or whatever heres a link to show ya :

Game's great.

Haven't finished the SP, but the MP is surprisingly fun.

Capture the relay is by far the funnest game mode on Crysis 2.

And the graphics, forget about it, best looking game out there by far.

Oh, I built my little 3.5 yo nephew a computer on friday, AMD Athlon II X3 450, 2GB DDR3, xfx GT240 512MB DDR3 and I installed Crysis 2 on it last night and it played great on high settings @ 1024x768, which is kind of a low resolution but the screen is only 15" and looked and played great.
I was just testing it last night but ended up playing the game for 3 hours.

Yes eblim your processsor and graphics will more than likeley be okay to handle this game the 460 is a good card and can handle a lot of games sort of playing high graphics settings to !

Just get the game and play play play #!
