That is just a distraction and it does not deter you from enjoying the game fully. Stepping into the corpse does alter the game because if you don't then you don't get to upgrade your suit.Well same could be said for dog tags and collectables then.
For me they are just additional aspects to the game. You can choose to use them or ignore them.
Going out of my way to kill extra enemies in some areas when it was not needed actually increased challenge and playtime for me.
If you rather go jump up and down on the corpse to your heart's content, by all means do so, just like going to look for diamonds on Far Cry 2, more power to you but, do not let that become intrusive in the way you can or can not finish your game, hence, why I was hoping that at least one of the options would give you the change to play the game w/o it and still being able to upgrade your nano suit.

. I just wish that they would unlock by itself as you progress in the Campaign but, I guess I am going to have to get used to playing Rated M games that are more made for kids.
