Crysis 2 ... anybody got it yet?

Never mind the DX11 patch - I just want to be able to switch the damn suit voice off.

I'm sick to death of hearing cloak engaged/nanovision enabled etc all the damn time

Kinda like the teammate AI in GRAW 2... ARRRRGGGHHH, that was annoying and very detrimental to the game.

I think it should shut itself off after 5 times per map...

Or at least select a female voice like you could in the original.

I don't remember that and I doubt it would have made any difference after the up teem time you heard it.

Is it just me or does the story in Crysis 2 seem out of Sync? More to the point, the story seems like its cut somewhere between maps and cut scenes... I know I am not making myself understood here.

Ok, Gould and Alcatraz are at the site where the new chair is in, Lockhart and Strickland get there and Alcatraz is being booted out of the building, he gets pushed into a Helo, a spore comes out, aliens around and all of a sudden heartgreave is talking to you and all of a sudden the custscene comes on and now you need to go through each spore, kill the Ceth aliens and get out of there quick before they explode a bomb or something about water drowning you, can't remember all that well now.... did I miss something? How did I go from being outside the building to that place?

It feels like Crytek cut some of the sequences to have something to sell as Download Content to the console dudes (and even PC if we let them :O)... or they just forgot to included it.

I am only half way through it since I am playing it at a friend's house so hogging his computer for hours on end is just not cool

I got it, and played it. Its AWESOME. The gameplay is awesome and much levels, the graphics are realy nice. But you need a good computer to play it. One word, get it its realy worth

running it on a dx 10 card and windowed mode shows it as dx11, but if i'm totally honest the graphics engine is so freaking good they even made dx9 look like it wasn't over the hill yet, i was utterly stunned by how good the graphics were, running it on extreme mode at 1920x1080 i get no lag or fps drop at all, a much more graphicly brilliant game than the original crysis.

game play is smooth fast paced and fun lots of killing options, i personally like running around and just grabbing people by the throat and throwing them off things...shooting them is soo last year.

i miss the fact i can't use the shopping trolley in the same way i could in the first game it was my favourite weapon back then, but then this game allows the player to really use aspects of the environment.

over all a good game though maybe a bit short.

CRYSIS

This is the first crysis game I have played it make me want to play the first one , I got a I7 gt560 ti and it plays with np at all and its on the top setting I was hopeing for it to be a dx11 to see if my 560ti could handel it at the top setting.

Glad someone is able to enjoy it I can't run it at 800x600 resolution in dx11.
Actually for that matter the game doesn't even run right in dx9 anymore
I'm getting like 0.25 fps since I installed the pack (note the decimal there)
Went from good frames at 1080p to game basically not working.
I mean I wasn't expecting it to blaze on this system but I thought it would at least play...
