Crysis 2 lag problem

I bought Crysis 2 recently for PC at the time I had:

Processor: Intel Core i3 2310M CPU @ 2.10Ghz
RAM: 2GB
Display/Graphics Card: Intel HD Graphics family, total memory: 799MB
Monitor: Generic PnP Monitor 1366 x 768 (32-bit) (60Hz)
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 32-Bit
Hard Disk: 250GB HDD

The lag made it unplayable (10-20FPS)

I then upgraded to an 120GB SSD, and upgraded the operating system to Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium -- it only reduced GUI lag.

I now have 8GB of RAM, is it worth re-installing (will gaming performance improve)?

Hi, I think the problem is your integrated graphics card. With Intel HD 3000 GPUs (which you have got) you can't play heavy-graphics games. You need at least a discrete dedicated GPU to run the game smoothly.

Try lowering graphics settings: turn off AA, try a lower resolution and set all options to low.

Intel integrated GPUs are not designed to play heavy graphics games. Only new Intel Haswell processors will have a discrete integrated GPU (called Intel HD 4600), which will be comparable to a mid-end dedicated GPU.

set all options to low.
:P Funny the lowest option in the field "System Spec" is "High" and the highest is "Ultra"
Anyways, thanks alot for the advice.

You need a real GPU intergrated Graphics playing that game will turn into a slideshow

That game is also one of the most demanding games out there people use this game as a benchmark

I would look for a good Midrange card that will give you playable and enjoyable settings

Depending on your CPU to play a game as powerful as that will just frustrate you

Im sure you can score something between the 100 to 200 Dollar range that will play it with ease

Since he has got a Intel Core i3-2310M CPU, I think he has got a laptop... The graphics card isn't upgradable...

isn't capable of play much of anything at playable frame rates,
A bit general, what do you mean by "anything"? I actually managed to play a couple of games on reasonable settings

What everybody else is saying pretty much is that if you want to game without lag issues. Get/build a desktop.
