cs 1.6

I always have a problem with cs 1.6 when i try to play the game it never changes from left hand side to right hand side i always have to play left hand way. i know how to change the settings from left to right all of them, but it never works it always happens this way. i had downloaded it a few years back n had same prob and even now on this system same prob . need help

Enable the console: Options > Keyboard > Advanced Options
Check 'Enable Developer Console' and select a keyboard shortcut
During game play, open the co nsole and use this command:
cl_righthand 1
From now on your gun should be on the right

havent needed to remember that one for many years!!

theres no advance in the keyboard but is in normal options and it has the option of right n left hand tried it dint work. then tried console command cl_righthand 1 still dint work..
also got a hang of left hand shooting now but is there anything else which could change it?
