Hi folks,
I've be asked to investigate an issue for a client who is using Windows 7 x64 Enterprise on their workstations and when a user goes to change their password by hitting CTRL, ALT & DEL followed by the change password button the dialogue boxes appear but the username field is empty.
From my testing on other builds of Win7 the field would show the current logged in user but its missing on these. I've gone through the group policy settings and can't see anything obvious as the cause plus compared reg keys on a working Win7 machine like those in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\CurrentVersion\Policies\System and again nothing obvious as the cause.
Logging into a workstation with account from different domains makes no difference so I am presuming it is a reg setting in the HKLM. Also tried moving a workstation into a blank OU with no GPO's applied and still have the same issue.
Anyone else seen this before and maybe knows the cause?
Thanks
