Hi,
System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64, fully updated.
Normal, expected behavior: Highlight a local file or folder icon, press CTRL-X once and immediately the icon is grayed out signaling the CTRL-X was effective. If you press CRTL-X again, or hold CTRL-X, nothing happen, the file or folder icon stays grayed out.
Abnormal behavior I'm experiencing, only when a remote desktop session is open: Highlight a local file or folder icon, press CTRL-X once and it does nothing. Must press and hold CRTL and then double tap on X to make the icon grayed out. If you press CRTL-X again the icon reverse non-grayed out, and when hold CTRL-X, the icon rapidly cycle between grayed out and non-grayed out. Never seen this behavior before.
NOTE: CRTL-X works as expected within the remote desktop session and locally when there is no remote desktop session opened. After I close an already opened remote desktop session, the problem go away on the local computer. So it's probably not a local driver problem or an app conflict. Tried to uninstall keyboard driver and reboot anyway, no change. Problem shows up immediately after a cold reboot and log in into my local session prior to opening any other apps other than a remote desktop session.
NOTE2: Tested with the 3 options in "remote desktop connection/Local resources/Keyboard/Apply Windows key combinations" with either "On this computer", "On the remote computer" and "Only when using full screen" and the problem is the same.
This started recently, like a week or 2 ago. I assume since a Windows update. I constantly use CRTL-X and use remote desktop almost all the time, so it's very annoying.
Anyone able to replicate this problem and/or provide a solution for a fix?
Thanks,
Ramon
