Cursor Jumping Problem (NOT a laptop!)

Hey there,

I have the same problem that a lot of you guys with laptops have except that the cursor jumps at any random time (not just when typing) typically to the edge or the corner of the screen. This is extremely annoying when I'm gaming. Also, I'm not using a laptop so the problem doesn't have to do with a touchpad (obviously). I use a microsoft USB mouse. I'm going to try a different mouse and see if that's the problem. Any insight would be appreciated and if required, I can provide my dxdiag on request. My full computer specs are on my profile as well.

Thanks!

If wireless, the first thing to check is battery. Just replace the old one.

It's not wireless but it appears that the previous mouse was the problem. I played for about an hour and experienced no jumps, whereas the other mouse would have had 10-15 in the same amount of time.

Same idea,

Wireless bad battery affects the mouse
In your case the mouse is just defective.
