Solved Cursor refuses to a knowledge secondary monitor.

I'm on a Windows 7, I've created a secondary screen with my Sanyo LCD TV.
I have it set up perfectly to when I researched on my cursor issue. Resolutions are the same, the 1st and secondary screens are displayed perfectly and are aligned, I can even drag applications to the secondary screen, or at least half of the application before my cursor stops and refuses to enter into the second screen.
Ive spend a good four hours researching all the possible things I could have done wrong but all I see are people getting their same problem fixed due to monitors being in the wrong place in the display appearance.
So if anyone can help me fix this issue It would be greatly appreciated.

I will also note that Im using teamviewer on my windows 8.1 to view my windows 7 because the display is broken on my windows 7.
I'm mostly making the secondary screen to play movies for my child while I can get things done on my Windows 7, or play a game that my windows 8 isn't strong enough to play all while my child can watch her cartoons.

Edit: also on teamviewer, I can switch the screens on teamviewer and then the mouse works perfectly on the TV screen when I switch to the secondary screen to view through TeamVeiwer.

These two may be related:

monitors being in the wrong place in the display appearance.....

Let see if I understand your setup:

• You have a 7machine that has a broken display.

• You have an 8.1machine that works and you're using teamviewer to go into the 7machine.

• The lcd tv is hooked up to the 7machine.

• The tv doesn't work when using the 8.1machine to use the 7box and tv, but does when using the 8.1box.

• Close?

If the 7's monitor is still connected to the case disconnect it and try your setup with teamviewer without switching screens on teamviewer.

Another try would be closing down teamviewer and swapping out the 7's monitor with the 8.1's then see if the 7box and tv work without teamviewer in the loop.

I'm thinking that with the broken 7 monitor there's no feedback that there is a working monitor on the 7machine and that's causing the cursor problem.

Okay, you were close to my set up haha, I know I was trying to figure this all out myself I do things very strangely.

Okay I have, Windows 8.1 HP all in one desktop.
Windows 7 HP laptop (Broken display)
Sanyo LCD 55" flat screen.

The windows 7 is hooked up to the Sanyo VIA HDMI Cord.
I am using teamviewer as a display for windows 7 through my 8 since now I am using the Sanyo as a secondary screen for the 7.

So when I take a screenshot, it will display both the 7 and the Sanyo since now I have two monitors running for the 7.
I can drag applications to the Sanyo but until the cursor hits the side of the screen, then it stops. I'll have to switch screens via teamviewer to then do what I need to do on the secondary screen. Start a DVD and display full screen, or start up steam and play a game or do what I need to do with two screens.
The 7 has a much bigger and better processor then the 8 does. So example, I try to play Darksiders on my 8, lagging... constantly. So I have to play it on my 7 but my child or someone else wants to use my computer to watch a movie that's where this awesome handy second screen comes in.

But... if I need to pause the movie I can't just quickly switch my mouse over to the second screen and pause it. I have to switch the display on my teamviewer to get onto the second screen. But my applications can drag over there just fine without having to switch the display on my teamviewer unless I have both displays on my teamviewer.

What I am trying to accomplish is, not having to switch screens, I'd like to be able to just drag my cursor over from screen to screen.
So another example, I got my xbox 360 controller hooked up to the 7, I'm playing Darksiders on the main screen while my friend is using my keyboard on the second screen to do whatever (ripped out the keyboard on the 7,got sick of it beeping), get on facebook or watch hulu or a DVD. But... I can't access the second screen with the one keyboard cause Id have to display both screens in order to use both screens.
Clicking on stuff on the 2nd monitor will disrupt my gameplay anyways, so I'd have to pause, switch, do whatever, switch, play, pause, switch, pause the dvd, switch, play, pause, switch, play the dvd, switch all while waiting a few minutes in between for teamviewer to display both screens or just the second screen.... it would honestly get annoying and exausting.... I'd want to just move the cursor over...


Aye, I hope I explained as well as possible.

And the 7's screen isn't broken broken, like it's not NOT working at all, there's a big bar in the display. My ex and I got into a fight and he threw my 7 at me so, the display just has an annoying bar in it causing the screen to kinda squish over. Which you know, it might be dismantled and abused and has had soda spilled all over it a year ago..., but buying it back in 2013 or 2014 and it's still kicking like it's brand spanking new it deserves a little credit haha.

It will take me awhile to digest your last post and with other commitments I may not get back to you until the weekend.

At first glance though, there's a couple of items I'd like you to correct.

• Until you test your setup with the buggered 7 monitor out of the loop we'll never know if that is the cause.

• And, I along with other members dislike having to click on a link to an imaging host/service when it's safer to attach the images to one's post.

I know the 7 is in bad shape externally but it's still highly functional and processes everything just fine without ever crashing, lagging or getting errors. If it was having even the most minor of malfunctions I would have caught on quick and knew the fault lies within the computer and not my failure to attempt this issue. I'm sure it could just be team viewer or there is a setting for the computer I haven't ticked. I've never personally had a chance to create an extended screen so I'm very new to it.
I have accomplished much with this computer even after all it's been through.

Well if it's too difficult to comprehend, understand (Because I'm not explaining it well enough) or going to take much of your time it's understandable I will take my question(s) elsewhere then.

Well I happen to figure out the issue, I feel very dumbfounded now and I can't believe it didn't hit me before, my keyboard was plugged into the 8 not the 7. so yeah, of course the Sanyo wasn't going to pick it up it's not the windows 7 registered keyboard/mouse. I honestly feel even more ridiculous for wasting your time now.

Again thank you for your patience with me, and I highly apologize. Trying to turn on the computer without plugging in first...

That's great I glad you found the problem!

It's not that it may be too difficult, it's just that sometimes in the trading of information to solve a problem, questions and steps need to be taken to solve it. Your looking around and finding out that the one keyboard needed to be plugged in instead of the other was a bit of serendipity.

Your concerns about the picture file size are well founded but here at 7F we're allowed a file size of 2MB and if it's larger than that the server will automatically adjust it down to fit the requirement. Sometimes members will go the extra step and adjust pictures on their own to under 2MB, but a 1.9MB picture will be about 2048x1536 pixels in size so it can remain a rather large image before the server kicks in, but usually that will throw the thread formatting off and that's why you'll occasionally see an extra wide thread, and there's other reasons of course like not putting a MDAG report in a code box, (the # icon).

As a reference my sig pix is 650 by 150 pixels and 179.6 KB, but signature requirements are more restrictive 650 by 150 pixels and 250.0 KB. and a lot of members have a GFX Team member do theirs. Just go to this thread: Custom Made Sig and Avatar [16] and ask (nicely) any member of the GFX team (look for the badge) if they could make you one.

I apologize if I caused you extra work in editing out those hosted images in post #3 I only meant that some members dislike opening them, not that we wouldn't. So continue to check-in once in awhile, who knows you might be able to help me!
