I have an HP Pavillion laptop with a Synaptics touchpad v 6.5 stock from HP and I had the touchpad replaced once last year for maintenance by HP. When I got the laptop back the image for scrolling with my cursor had changed and I can't find out where this setting is changed. I looked in all of the usual places like mouse settings etc. and nothing that I have tried has changed it back. I can't even find an image on my computer that matches the image while scrolling.
Attached are pictures of my cursor during normal work (Left)
and during scrolling - vertical or horizontal (Right)
I have checked out a thread from 2011 posted here:
http://www.sevenforums.com/general-discussion/167568-mouse-pointer-changes-because-scroll.html
and the options / fixes discussed did not help me. I have deleted and re-installed the drivers, checked for any third party touchpad software (none installed) and nothing works. If anyone knows of this strange image and can help please post. Thanks
