ok Arc, here's a first attempt at someone else's sig.
not 100% happy but it is maybe a work in progress.
i will have a better attempt later in the week.

yeah easier said than done nommy ,
i saw a vid of arc making a sig in 9 and a half mins,
takes me easy 9 and a half hours.

Take a peep at this tut.
His Ps is a tad old, but it should still work.

Only instead of "reveal section" you want to choose "hide section" in the layer mask menu.

thanks nommy, as usual with youtube i ended up watching a few related vids , so some more ideas and tips. and subscriptions .
will be trying these things soon, been messing about with the layer masks and getting to grips with them some more.
im tempted to find a college class for photoshop in september.

I remember how long it took me to figure out how to properly create sigs with transparent backgrounds-_- Oh, may I ask what font you used? It looks really cool.
Also (completely unrelated), is your name in my previous comment bold? Since my phone simply displays the BBCode tags.

the font i used is called Ringbearer, but i also followed this chaps guide...

Really nice work Jullian came out great .... but as usual can I give you a small tip

Watch out for the drop shadow clipping, this normally happens when the image falls outside the constraints of the image drawing area. This won't be so noticeable on a dark background but will be quite apparent on a light or white one
