Arc, as a patron with no hurry, I like to see that the artist makes a few practice rounds first .

thought i would do a quick one whilst trying out some filters.

seen as i now have my gfx wings a new sig seemed appropriate.

i nicked the original wings from thomson airways but after filtering etc they barely resemble them.

i would have dennis but the largest size image i could find was 427 x 285,
took some doing to reproduce the image with a semi decent quality, the filter hides a multitude of sins.
i got the idea walking past the local travel agents yesterday.

if anyone can find a bigger better res one ,then post me a link.

Try googling wings or Air Force wings.
Put you mouse over it and it should show dimensions and jpeg resolution.

cheers nommy. trouble with downloading images from the net is they lose some quality when downloaded.
the rule of thumb is the image you download should be 3 times bigger than you need.
though finding them is easier said than done.

it was those specific wings, as they were on the poster in the window.
there is something art deco or even fifties about them.
anyhow the ones i have will do.

its ok guys, like i said the ones i have are fine , will be changing them in a week or so anyway.

I found some a bit bigger (I've cut them out and enhanced them a bit) but the res is still pretty crap ... I could re-draw them for you but seeing that you only want them for a short while it's most proberly not worth the effort

golden/ colin asked me to do a sig for him,

i did try allsorts of ideas to come up with a bright brilliant gold sig but i ended up with this...
its either a bronze or a nice block of leb

thanks jerry, im in the process of working out how to add a gold leaf effect on the embossed areas.
i had to paint a layer then i have to work out how to make it look like realistic gold leaf.
trickier than it sounds.
