Well I was still bored so I made one for UsernameIssues

Today I made myself a little project

My goal was to create something familiar to this;

The logo of my fav band.

I couldn't find any font like it, so I went ahead and created it by myself
I used the font Forore with a character tracking of 50;

After that I went on and sprinkled some awesomeness over the font and kind of sci-fied it;

When I thought that the font had been modded enough, I added a nice, old school sci-fi gradient, a nice stroke and an outer glow;

After that I changed the perspective and added a few more layers underneath to give it some depth;

Merged the dept layers, applied a Gaussian Blur and changed the overall colors;


Then I applied a rough Diffuse Glow filter to it and added some (nearly unnoticeable) lens flares;


Added GFX badge;


It ended up as something completely different from what I wanted in the beginning, but meh, I tend to have that with every project I do
Only down side is that it's nearly unnoticeable on any of the lighter Forum skins, but I use the SF Dark skin (on which it looks pretty darn awesome IMHO) so I don't really care lol. Might make a background banner for it later next week though.

well done chaps, great effort with the font creation, i once had a play with a font creating trial ,
so difficult i gave up, so congrats at getting it there

this is a quickie i whipped up fo the beginning of the season, will do more as we go on.
