You mentioned using Photoshop? Well, if you battling to get small fonts to look clear, there are many different ways to clear them up... Some get quite technical and complex, but one of the simplest and often most effective, is using the font weight settings. If you look in the attached image you'll see what I mean.yeah I already changed them but its still blurry I am starting over
I find for small fonts, if they have lots of straight edges 'Strong' works pretty well, if it's a flowing font with lots of curves, sometimes either 'Crisp' or 'Sharp' work better. Personally, I only use 'Smooth' for larger fonts... But at the end of the day, try them and see.

Or you could make a sig for each badge so go ahead and do the skilled, then make a power user badged one and so on. and then switch them out when you get your new badge. since its just another layer anyway just do all the types you can think
