Fine New Gold. Also try google or wikpedia, old military term too.
A new Gold member can display a FNG badge in his sig untill the next Gold comes around. Tews started the tradition.

When I was awarded the FNG badge alnogwith the Gold badge, I also had the question . Everybody told it means fine new goldmember .... only Randy and Carl supplied me two different meanings . Randy's one was about that goat (reindeer ) .

Actually Carl told me the actual meaning, he was in the Army for a long time

Josh, it is not to discuss in public what FNG stands for .... but it is awarded to the member who is the latest in Goldmembers' group (2000+ posts)
