I'm getting a little faster at sig-creating, too; I needed ages for the very first one I created. What I do in all cases is to first draw the rough design on paper :-D With noobvious's sig, I also decided to experiment with semi-transparent text (needed to do some research on that)
Well the practice is really beginning to show excellent results.
