Problem: I can't get the drop shadow of the pen right (angle), and the text font of my username, too, looks funny; it has to be flattened out (the perspective has to be corrected), but I just can't do it :-/

I had a look Athene, it looks quite nice, nice pen shadow. Did you want the same type shadow for your name? I don't have that font so PS subbed some generic script.

No, the issue with the pen sig is the following: the angle of the pen's drop shadow is not correct; with the post-it and paper-clip, the shadow is kind of underneath and in front of them, because the light source is behind them; so the drop shadow of the pen has to follow the same angle, but because the pen is standing, I don't know what exactly the shadow should look like and how long it should be. About the font of my username: the font is standing; but it has to be flat, like it has been written on paper; the perspective has to be changed, but I'm not sure how.
This does not apply to the Seven Forums logo, it can remain the way it currently is

I used the Puppet Warp in PS very quickly, do you have that in essentials?
I think you could edit the text in Corel with free transform?

Yes, something like that No, there's no warp function in Photoshop Elements. I think it's a perspective problem, and it's the same thing with the drop shadow (or the angle thereof) of the pen. I guess I'll just have to try again using a flashlight and a piece of paper...Or just give up on the sig and drop it altogether...

You can use free transform in PS as well.

Yes, but I'm not very good at figuring out the correct angle... It may look correct to me but totally wrong to others...So it's a really tricky business. Anyway...I'm on sigging vacation thanks to a cramped wrist and bad posture while sitting at the computer...my fault ;-D

Thanks, Gary :-D The perspective/angle of the font comes very close to what I'd like to be The font itself is a bit thick, though; maybe something more fine and swirly...And that drop shadow of the pen is still bothering me, there is something wrong with it...But Dennis is having a go at sorting out this shadow-and-perspective problem, too :-D Thanks for all your trouble, guys ))

Yeah, I don't have the font you used for "Athene". I don't know how to fritz the pen shadow around. It all looks natural to my eyes. I think what's difficult is the "swirly background".

Thanks again, Gary :-D Yes, the whole sig is driving me up the walls, I think I may have outsigged myself (in a negative sense) with this one...Too many angles and shadows for my limited Photoshopping abilities But having started it, I'd like to see it finished :-/
