nice joint effort there :p

now can anybody make a transparency of this, i've struggled for hours with the background erasers and failed miserably. I have no problem with the main SevenForums bit, it's the shadow i get stuck with. my sig could be a whole lot better with it.

Looks a bit iffy around the edges (looks alright with a background) but this is the exact text made transparent that I used in a wallpaper. I had to redo the reflection bit myself too.

not sure what type of shadowing you were talking about ... a little dropshadow... can you be a little more specific?
That looks good...maybe make it to not "stand out" so much and round the edges out...like an eclipse and not a rectangle

Maybe make it in the style of the new 8Forums badge with the flag replaced with the flag from the default wallpaper in the RTM

Hey Sergio,

When you get a chance, could you have a go at making an avatar for me to go with the very nice sig you made for me? Just something using the same color scheme (with plenty of that smoky blue color in it), and whatever else you can come up with. Tia.

Sure, mate ;) I'll do one as soon as i get PS installed on my new machine ;)

harpua: How about this? :)
Looks pretty good but how about keeping that background, remove the name text (since the name already appears below the avatar), and try one using the same orb (centered and perhaps resized) from the right side of the sig (with a bit of reflection), and one with the logo you are using already (but just centered/sized appropriately for no text)? Then I can see which logo I will like better.

I know you don't do animations (yet), but it would be very cool if there were a few tiny twinkling blinking stars in the background. Someday perhaps . . .

Yes, they are both very nice. Exactly what I had in mind. I'll use them both, maybe switch between them from time to time.

Thanks again.

Hi noyb,

Well that looks pretty cool. Thanks! I'll try it for a while and see how it grows on me. I hope people don't find it irritating though. Maybe if the pulsing was slower, it would be more relaxing to behold.

What would be really cool would be a couple of twinkling stars that don't all blink at the same time and that blink on and off very slowly. I know I've seen something like there somewhere, but I can't remember right now. Oh, I think it might have been on some artwork from Battlestar Glactica, but I'm not sure about that. Wait, I'm pretty sure I saw something like what I have in mind on the beginning intro screen of the old puzzle game "Bejeweled."

Hey mate, now this is my first try at animations, so be easy on me! I've just tried something here, and I can refine it, but I just want your take on it, and your opinion on what you think! OK, here goes,
