Good afternoon. I have a custom system with 64-bit Win 7 Home Premium (OEM upgrade from Win XP)
Gigabyte 965-P DS3 with Q8200 CPU @ 2.3 GHz, Award BIOS F14
6 GB RAM
PCI-E 8400GS NVIDIA card
500 GB SATA Hard Drive
Norton 360/Security Suite
Office 2007

Just recently did the BIOS, Processor, and OS upgrade so not much on the system yet at all--just Productivity, not for gaming. I went through each component and checked for newer drivers and I ran CHKDSK as well.

In trying to get some other things working, I ran into BSODs that could not be fixed without Restoring to a previous point. The first was after trying to install some new Java-based Live Meeting program...then a few days later it happened after installing Flash Player (not AIR).

I have attached the files generated after the most recent BSOD. I would appreciate any guidance on what might be contributing to the problem. I had installed Camtasia before one of the Restores and am hoping to install again but am holding off for now until I am comfortable not having to go through Restore again.Thanks.

Maybe you should remove Norton and give MSE a go :)

Use Microsoft Security Essentials.

Recommended from a strict BSOD perspective, compatibility & stability compared to other security software:

Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows

Malwarebytes - Free

Thanks, koolkat--I was wondering if that is where this might be heading. I will give that a try and post results at some point.

Follow-Up - Norton Removed

I removed Norton, created a Restore Point then installed Camtasia. All went well until I tried recording some screen.

All was going great for almost 4 minutes, but then I got the BSOD "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" Stop 0x0A.

This time, however, the system was able to boot back up and not have to go through an emergency recovery.

Can I figure out from the newest mini dump file what driver may be causing the BSOD?

I have attached another zipped file of the latest minidump.

Thanks!
