Custom Program Icons?

so i got this freeware from the internet, but it doesnt have an icon in the corner of its window, on my taskbar, or in a folder.

is there a way to apply a custom icon to this program? i hate seeing the ugly default program icon that shows when there isnt an icon.

You could create a shortcut from the program's exe file, then change the shortcut's icon to what you like for this.
