Custom SevenForums Gadgets

I just had a very odd thing happen. Had just come out of sleep mode, the comp. not me, and clicked on a link in the gadget and the gadget went to the page. Had to close and reopen to get to normal. Haven't been able to repeat the event so far.

You mean, that instead of opening a new window, the page changed inside the gadget?

Exactly. Could only see the upper left corner of the page, but the page was displayed inside the gadget. :shock:

Suggestion to all gadget users:

Set gadget's opacity at 80%... It's really cool.

To do so: Right-click anywhere except a link on the gadget, opacity-> 80.

I have set mine to the lowest opacity so it's barely visible unless I mouse over it, nice touch at the bottom as well. I don't have that problem for some reason Aaron.

Hey, yeah I got it..
It happens cause its not set as a background image, but as a hovering one. I can change that. Meanwhile, try not to click and drag it. Click on the text below instead.

Great gadget - thanks.

My gadget gallery window is now empty. they only show up if I close the Seven forums gadget.



I never bothered with gadgets before, so is there something really obvious that I am not doing ?

If I close it, they show up - but now the sevenforums one won't start again - when I double click on any of the others they start up and appear on the desktop.

Just rebooted to see if that would help.

Now the gadget window won't open at all.

oh man, have you tried uninstallng the gadget and seeing if it still does it.

Have you still got gadgets on the screen?

You will find the gadget here, just use task manager to close your sidebar.exe and delete the files and then see if you can open them again.
