Now that is good tbone!
I think it would better with a water effect ;)
On the spiral layer, press ctrl + u. Now check 'Colourize'. Slide the top slider until the ripple looks water coloured. Press OK. Now, go to Filter -> Distort -> Ocean ripple.
See how that comes out ;)
