Hi all,
I would really like to know if it's possible to change/tinker/tweak the colour scheme for MS Office 2007.
I am in front of this programme like 10 hours a day, and I'm so tired of blue, black and silver.
Anyone know if this can be done?
Thanks in advance.

Not without actually hacking into the code yourself and changing it directly. Unfortunately, there's no other way to do it, at least not that I know of - and I'm just as tired of those three themes as you are. =(

There are ways to customise the ribbon, but I'm not sure if you
can alter the standard colour schemes further at all... :zip:

Well I wouldn't mind hacking, as long as I could follow some good, clear instructions...

Unfortunately, I don't know exactly how to do it. It would involve adding registry values (because currently there are only three - 1 = Blue, 2 = Silver, 3 = Black, or something like that) in the default registry entry, and I don't know if I'm really all that eager to mess with the registry for something like changing the MS Office theme. Then you'd need to create graphics, find where the default themes are located, and then try to construct one based on what they're like. It's a little too involved for a college student with limited time on his hands. :)

It might involve more than a registry key or two. However any discussion of reverse engineering or decompiling is prohibited of course, so there's a limit to what degree 'hacking' can be discussed on many forums... ;)

Are there any apps like WindowBlinds, etc. that are made exclusively for Office 2007?

Of course it would.

Why else would I (not) mention it? It's all theoretical, of course...of course...

And is it also possible to edit the background image (the swirl graphic that is either blue, black or silver)? I know this is something that can be done in OpenOffice.
