When the war on terror wheels start to loose momentum... switch to something else.


It frightens me as to what is actually stored on PC's at such a high level. But then again, records stored in any type of format can fall into the wrong hands. It's a never ending battle... and as technology changes, hopefully you have the right brains in there keeping this data secure.

When you look at all the governments of the world (approximately 110), then think of all the Meta Business, and then all the other businesses both large and small you can then start to visualize how big a business cyber-attacks can be. At this stage of computer technology it is a miracle it hasn't happen on a truly large scale so far. We have in just the last couple of years seen companies like Google, and Microsoft hit with large cyber-attacks, just to name a couple.

Perhaps another good reason to rethink "The Cloud"?

The cloud wouldn't be any different. It is still a computer system. Its not like it is setting out in space where no one can find the information. It is a system of servers that are owned my a business, and as we have seen in the past all business are open to an exploit. At present the cloud may be something the cyber-attachers have yet to exploit, albeit given time it will come to past.

Yes, but is the information not more at risk as it's more or less "congregated" in one "virtual" place?
