Hi guys,
i have a dell 3008 wfp monitor connect via displayport to an asus z87 pro pc. I have just bought an additional displayport monitor,a Philips BDM4065UC.

My specific problem is that the mobo only has one displayport out socket, not two, so i am wondering if you can help me figure out how to connect both DP monitors to my pc.

thanks for looking

Andy

Hi there,

yes it has an hdmi port as well, i am temporarily using that hdmi port to drive the second dell display, but the highest resolution that i can get on that is 1920* 1200. i don,t think hdmi can output a higher resolution than that. I also have dvi-d and dsub, but they won,t support higher than 1920*1200 either.

that could work but if your display port is 1.1 then it going to act as a splitter which will show only whats on the first monitor. so make sure you have the 1.2 display port

Check out this forum for the Z87 Pro (there is another forum for the Z87i Pro). They might be able to help you.
