Good day, I need help in deciding which storage do I need to choose between DAS vs. NAS. I have an average business in Photo Editing I want to store all downloaded photo's sent by my client and share it to my photo editors using flash drive 3.0. I decided to make a server since we are growing and tired of sharing it via flash drives. What do you think is a better storage server? If I choose DAS by using RAID Enclosure do SSD are better than Hard Disk Drive? because I also need a fast transfer since I have zip files of 10gb. Else I choose NAS even though its expensive? Thank you and have a good day!

I'm skeptical of any form of hardware RAID solution because there's not always a guarantee that your RAID will survive if you need to replace the enclosure or controller due to failure. Have you looked into FreeNAS or such?

Also, I seriously recommend looking into 7zip to replace zip for archiving:

7-Zip is the clear performance winner of our file archiving and compression tools round-up. It sets the standard for both compression ratio and time with its very own 7z compression format. It manages to beat MagicRAR, WinRAR, and WinZip for the best compression ratio, even with its Fastest Compression setting enabled.
