Downloaded latest UltraSearch portable x64 from Jam Software
v2.3.2 ... in fact ... v2.3.2.537
Extracted the ZIP and this strange dates structure is of the extracted UltraSearch.exe

What am I missing ? Or is the modified date the ZIPPED date ?

Hi bawldiggle,

What am I missing ? Or is the modified date the ZIPPED date ?

[1] What is the date of the .exe file?
[2] Is the date the same if you use 7-Zip?

The date is probably, as you say, the zipped folder date!

Modified date of the extracted EXE is the Signature date in Virus Total -> Details

Those dates reflect little from the actual creation or modification dates of any files. They're maintained by the local file system and won't preserve well over transfers and the like. That and the fact that they can be freely modified means that you shouldn't rely at all in them. Little discrepances like this one are commonplace.

Hi Alejandro85 :-)

Thank you for responding.
I know MS Copy/Move are very unreliable ... there is a wiki page with a list of different behaviours depending MS OS type and for the life of me I cannot find it now.

One day I will find a copy/move prog/trick to work around Windows foibles ... low priority until I really need it.
