Date randomly changes

Hello, recently I've had an issue with date - after a random period of time (usually 2-6 days) it switches to a random date (usually in range of 1-2 months forward). I'm noticing this problem whenever a website shows an error, which can be solved by manually setting the date right. However, this isn't happening with the time, only date, so I doubt that motherboards battery is the reason. I haven't changed BIOS settings, reinstalled windows, or had any new softwares for quite a while. Also rechecked all settings related to date and time, time zone, region etc. seems to be correct.
Where to look next?

Windows 7 Home Premium x64
(Don't know what more specs should I list for this issue)

Do you have your date/time set to synchronize with either the Microsoft server or some other server? In this way, if the problem occurs again, it should fix itself the next time it synchronizes the time/date.

Hi Jera,

your comment
it only happens when a website throws an error
What error??

is the intriguing bit, points to a couple of things
1) the browser or add-ons are corrupted, uninstall/reinstall
2) you have malware run an AV scan, and Malwarebytes free

What i meant by that, when the date randomly changes (so when the date is incorrect) some web-pages aren't working. This is actually how i noticed this problem, when i got an SEC_ERROR_OCSP_OLD_RESPONSE error in a web page, i googled it, and turned out my date was incorrect.

Also i haven't set my date/time to synchronize with either the Microsoft server or other servers. If doesn't happen automatically, than no, it's not.

I changed the server the time and date is synchronizing from, will see if that makes any changes.

In my case, it was caused by the "Linux Time vs Windows Time" issue. :geek:

If i'm not mistaking, this "Linux Time vs Windows Time" has something to do with dual booting? Won't be my case.

Linux set the physical clock to GMT wile windows sets to local time, so the difference would be on the hour, not on moth.
Some browsers like Firefox gives an error if the clock isn't correct, so I think the browser error is consequence not the reason for the error.
If you have any cracked program installed it can explain the clock change.
Do you notice the clock change just after boot?

It can happen with Live Linux CDs/DVDs/USBs too.

I was just confirming that you can get Security Certificate errors if there is a date conflict. :)
