hello,
made a mistake and i bought PWM (cpu fans/ 4 pin) and when they are plugged into 3 pin they max out. is there a way to lower the voltage for them other then using the bios, plus i dont want to mess with my bios at all.

No probs pal, hope you get it sorted. :)

These two look about the best buy out of the bunch I showed which are PWM compatible, but I'm sure if you shop around you may find others that are cheaper but still do the same job ;)

Use this;

SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer

<http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php> Fan Speed controller. Freeware.

Make sure you read all the documentation before setting up. Incorrect settings can damage your board/chips.

In default mode, just install it and don't change any settings, it will usually regulate fans automatically.
